Connection
is the work.

I’m Mark. I care about what happens on the other side of an idea. Whether someone feels understood, more connected, or a little more able to be themselves.

As a first-generation Ghanaian-American, questions of identity and belonging are personal to me. I’m drawn to work that gives people room to recognize themselves, and sometimes discover a part of themselves they haven’t quite stepped into yet.

My path started in engineering and consulting. At Accenture, working in recruiting and candidate experience, I found the part I wanted to stay with: understanding people and creating something that mattered to them. Brand strategy became a way to bring that instinct into everything a brand says and does.

BRAND KNEW SOUL

You know that feeling when something just gets you? It puts words to something you’ve been carrying. Makes you feel like there’s a place for you. That’s what soul means to me. I believe brands can create that kind of connection, and I want to help them find it.

HOW I WORK

Understand it.
Then make it felt.

I like getting underneath a problem, finding the human connection, and staying close as the idea becomes real.

01 / LISTEN

Start with people.

Conversations, observation, research. What matters to people, and what’s getting in the way?

02 / CONNECT

Find the brand’s role.

Where does that human need meet something the brand can credibly do? That’s where I look for the idea.

03 / MAKE

Give the idea a life.

A story, an experience, a different way of doing something. I stay close to the details, test what’s working, and let what we learn shape what comes next.

Music. Stories.
Things I make.

Records, conversations, and creative experiments.
The things I keep coming back to.
